Add Fundraising Appeal Codes

An Appeal Code helps you track Appealsfor charitable gifts and donations, such as direct mailers, telethons, or door-to-door. Add an Appeal Code to track each appeal, how much it is raising, and whether it is active.

To add an Appeal Codes, use the following steps:

  1. Go to Modules>Fundraising>More...>Find Appeal>Appeals>Add Appeal. The Add Fundraising Appeal Codes page opens.
  2. Fill in the fields for the Appeal Information section, as described in the table below:

    active check boxOptionalIf this is a current appeal, select the active check box. Only active appeals appear in the appeal code drop-down when adding a fund.

    start and end date(s)OptionalEnter or select the appeal's start date and end date if applicable.
    campaign codeRequiredSelect the campaign that the appeal will be linked to and, subsequently, part of once linked. This appeal will then appear on the Related Appeals child form of the specific campaign you choose here.
    appeal goalOptionalEnter the financial goal of the appeal.
    call to actionOptionalSelect a call to action that the appeal is a part of.
    notesOptionalEnter additional notes about the appeal.
  3. Click the Save button to save your changes and go to the Appeal Code Profile page. Once you save the appeal code, it is available for selection in the appeal code drop-down when you are setting up a Fund. Click the Cancel button to return to the previous page without saving your changes.
